Biography:
Born in Portugal, Victor has called Kingston home since 1972.
Victor was a standout multi-sport athlete at Regiopolis-Notre Dame High School where his passion for soccer was sparked and shone when he was named the boys senior soccer team’s most valuable player.
While at St. Lawrence College, Victor was named first-team all-star and most valuable player on two occasions and was the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association leading scorer twice and also in 1992, he led the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association nationally in scoring and was tied for the national scoring lead in 1993.
In 1999, Victor was named assistant coach of the women’s soccer team at Royal Military College and took over as head coach of the men’s team in 2003.
Between 2004 and 2018, Victor served as a video analyst with the Canadian Men’s National Soccer team. He has supported teams from the National Soccer League and European teams seeking his analytical support. He provided these services to, as well as scouting for AS Roma in the Italian Serie A.
Victor has also worked to grow the game of soccer locally and to give players and coaches opportunities to learn from some of the best in the game. He has brought national team players to Kingston to give free clinics for local players and has promoted community outreach programs through the RMC soccer camp. He has also hosted “Coaching the Coaches” events at RMC.
