Neil Miller Neasmith

Biography:

Neil excelled in basketball, softball and tennis.

In the Border Basketball League in the 1950’s and 1960’s, Neil was an all-star in each of his eight seasons, and his Kingston teams won six league championships.

Neil played on four Ontario championship Senior and Intermediated basketball teams, a Senior B Canadian championship team in 1960 and the Eastern Canadian Senior B championship team in 1968.

He was familiar to generations of young players as an internationally certified basketball official for more than 30 years.

Neil was an all-star shortstop during 13 season in Kingston’s top softball leagues. He won two batting titles and played on three championship teams.

In tennis, Neil won four Kingston club championships and 13 doubles championships. With his son Jeff, Neil competed five times at provincial and national family events.
